Be.WELL: technology that supports Wellbeing

                                                   through Exercising, Living and Learning

The EU27’s + UK is heading towards a health crisis with an unprecedented cost/budget impact on the finances of their nations; by 2050 their population of 55+ is projected to reach 200 million people [40.6 % of 500 mln people]). With this age group comes an increasing and early deterioration risk facing  our citizens -  a serious threat to life expectancy/wellbeing as well as a quality of life aspect with dramatic effect on healthcare costs. The risks are  in particular to the increased risk of falling:  >30% persons over 65, and half the person over 85 years old will experience a fall at least once a year.

Bluntly stated
“Age is our single greatest risk factor for nearly every major cause of death and disability"

Which is why we're working on Be.WELL: our digital suite that helps to avoid this health and financial disaster. Be.WELL aims to  improve our citizens’ quality of life in an intuitive and implicit manner; it uses mobile hardware [wearables, smart phones) - it makes them smart through self-learning AI and is thus  able ‘to act’ as  a “companion” tool encouraging them to become and/or stay physically fit.

The graph below is an indicative presentation of what to expect of Be.WELL interventions in specific target groups.

Be.WELL aims to improve physical Wellbeing: the key prevention effort to minimize fall risks

Imagine if we’re capable to convert the concept of autonomous driving [AD] to the person; similar to cars transporting people safely from A to B !

Be.WELL goal is to help persons to safely traverse to their destination: leading a healthy and enjoyable life; helping them on the road to the 'ultimate' destination: adding 5 years to their healthspan - i.e.  the period of life spent in relatively good health
